WATSONVILLE — Classified workers, teachers, parents and community leaders in the Pajaro Valley Unified School District will rally for their fair share of new funding coming to the district.

In a press release, rally organizers explain the PVUSD’s classified workers, often among the lowest paid in the district, have been working on the front lines, risking their lives through the pandemic. The classified workers are asking for their fair share with the arrival of new funds to the district in the form of a COVID-19 relief incentive payment.

The group is also urging the district to reverse cuts to the Special Education program at Ohlone Elementary School and Bike Tech at Pajaro Valley High School.

The rally is from 5-6:15 p.m. today at district headquarters, 294 Green Valley Road in Watsonville.
