LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ — Two people were charged with assaulting a vendor Wednesday at a roadside stand that sold Donald Trump merchandise. Officials took the victim to the hospital with head injuries.

Thomas Sidle and Keith Hornberger were charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief, harassment and disorderly conduct, Little Egg Harbor police announced Thursday.

The incident took place at around 1 p.m. Wednesday on Route 9 near Stage Road, where police found the injured man. Witness interviews and further investigation led to charges against Sidle and Hornberger.

Sidle uploaded footage of the confrontation on social media, and New Jersey Corruption Watch uploaded the video to its Facebook page.

The video shows someone approaching the stand and saying, “What’s up, tough guy? You think this is fucking funny?”

Both people yell at the man to take the “Confederate flag” down. The flag at the center of the stand shows a gun and the words “Come and Take It” over the Confederate flag design.

One person says they’re there to protest. The vendor tells them to stand further away to protest.

The camera drops to the ground during the video, and one voice says, “you’re gonna get messed up. You attacked him.”

Toward the end of the video, Sidle picks his phone back up and walks away.

“Motherfucker put his hands on me, and he broke my fucking phone,” he tells viewers.
