CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A car with a sleeping child inside was stolen from a store parking lot Wednesday night on Dover Road. Deputies found the car, with the child unharmed, and have arrested a suspect.

At about 7 p.m., a 2007 Dodge Nitro, with the child inside, was stolen from the parking lot of the Dollar General in the 1300 block of Dover Road, according to a news release from Sandra Brandon, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

The car’s owner was in the store picking up a few items. Deputies were dispatched to search the area and found the car in the 1000 block of Ross Lane. The child was located unharmed in the car, the release said.

Christopher Nicholas Lee O’Quinn, 27, was charged with especially aggravated kidnapping, theft and evading arrest, Brandon said.
