LUMBERTON — The Robeson County Board of Commissioners and two municipal boards are scheduled to meet next week.
The Robeson County Board of Commissioners will meet in-person 6 p.m. Monday in the County Administration building, located at 500 N. Chestnut St. The meeting will take place in the commissioner’s meeting room on the first floor.
Agenda items include Project Blue Jay and reports from the Budget and Finance Committee, chaired by Commissioner Pauline Campbell; and from the Personnel Committee, chaired by Commissioner David Edge.
The Maxton and Fairmont town boards of commissioners are scheduled to meet Tuesday.
The Maxton commissioners will convene at 7 p.m. in Town Hall, located at 201 McCaskill Ave.
Among items to be discussed are a WithersRavenel grants activity update, approval to submit a Community Development Block Grant application for wastewater treatment plant funding, approval to submit a CDBG application to obtain funding for water lines within the town, approval to add additional pages to the Maxton Police Department Standard Operating Procedures, appointment of a person to supervise removal or abatement of a nuisance property in accordance with Town of Maxton Code of Ordinance and approval of a staffing/classification study by Lumber River Council of Government.
The Fairmont Board of Commissioners is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. in the Fairmont-South Robeson Heritage Center, located at 207 S. Main St. The meeting will be streamed online on the town’s Facebook Page.
During the meeting, a public hearing will be held on a conditional use permit request for a used car dealership that would be established in the town’s historic district/neighborhood business zone. Also to be discussed during the meeting is the amendment of interim Town Manager Ricky Harris’ contract and “other matters if needed.”
