Motorists face delays this evening after highways workers have been forced to close a M32 slip road due to a ‘dangerous’ pothole.

Emergency works are currently being carried out at J2 (Eastville) during rush hour.

Southbound traffic cannot currently join the M32 at the junction while  Highways England workers attend to the pothole.

A spokesperson for the authority tweeted: “#J2 #M32 Inbound entry slip is closed with a lane 1 closure on the main carriageway between J2 #Eastville and J3 #Newfoundlandroad for a dangerous pothole.


“We are on scene and we hope to have it filled as soon as possible. We will keep you updated.”

Traffic monitoring site Inrix says: “One lane closed due to emergency repairs on M32 inbound between J2 B4058 Stapleton Road (Eastville) and J3 A4320 Easton Way (St Pauls). Traffic is coping well. Lane one (of three) closed.

“M32 Southbound entry slip road closed, slow traffic due to emergency repairs at J2 B4058 Stapleton Road (Eastville). Southbound traffic cannot currently join the M32 at J2 while emergency repairs are carried out in lane one of the main carriageway.”
