#parents | #teensvaping | Bryan man pleads guilty to murder for deadly drug deal in 2018

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) – The Brazos County District Attorney’s Office says a Bryan man has pleaded guilty to a murder charge in connection with a fatal drug deal in 2018.
Assistant District Attorney Jessica Escue says David Joshua Edwards, 21, of Bryan, is scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday, February 4.
Edwards pleaded guilty for the murder of Kolten Howell, 19. The teen was shot in June 2018 inside a home on Sara Drive in College Station.
Police say the suspects were attempting to take a felony amount of illegal drugs from Howell’s home when the shooting happened.
Prosecutors say Edwards will be sentenced to 45 years in prison.
Three other men were also arrested with Howell and charged with aggravated robbery. Two of them are also scheduled to be sentenced on February 4.
Edwards is the only suspect to be charged with murder.
