Charity Dingle’s son’s attempts to protect niece Sarah Sugden could cost him his life as he suffers a shock collapse after taking drugs.
Noah will find his life on the line as he takes a turn for the worse in the woods, after taking something.
It’s said to “all go wrong” weeks on from him trying to stop fellow teen Sarah from taking drugs, with her love interest encouraging her to do so.
Tragedy will strike with Noah’s loved ones fearing the worst, when he’s raced to hospital after the incident.
Speaking to Mirror Online and other publications at an Emmerdale press day, Executive Producer Jane Hudson teased the shocking new plot for the new year.
She said: “He’s trying to look after Sarah and it all goes wrong.”
Ahead of his death, Graham will be blamed for the situation by Charity – could she be a suspect?
Jane said: “Charity blames Graham for what has happened to Noah.”
While it’s not exactly clear why Graham is blamed, perhaps it’s down to him helping Noah’s brother Joe Tate leave the village last year.
Viewers will no doubt be suspecting whether the potential death of her son could give Charity a motive to kill Kim Tate’s ex.
Whether Noah will survive the collapse and what will happen next is yet to be revealed.
It comes following the news that Graham would be murdered in January, so the scenes are expected to air around then too.
Graham will meet a “grisly end” as he drums up a list of enemies, with someone murdering him in a new soap whodunnit.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
