BRIDGEPORT — A community policing detail at a city housing complex Tuesday afternoon led to a foot pursuit and an arrest where a gun and drugs were seized, police officials said.

Capt. Lonnie Blackwell said the detail at the Greene Homes apartment complex includes “periodic walking and high-visibility patrols.”

During the detail Tuesday afternoon, officers arrested a teen near Building 3 after a foot pursuit around 4 p.m. Blackwell identified the suspect as 18-year-old Burkino Bomano Mcintyre.

Blackwell said after a foot pursuit, officer recovered a semi-automatic firearm and crack cocaine.

Mcintyre was charged with illegal possession of narcotics, carrying a pistol without a permit, second-degree criminal trespassing and interfering with officers.

His bond was set at $20,000.
