Lashawn M. McBride, 26, of Catherine Street, Albany, was taken into custody Friday evening and charged with one count of second-degree burglary, a felony, along with three counts of misdemeanor child endangerment and one misdemeanor count of unlawful imprisonment.
He was arraigned and released under non-monetary conditions, records show. A full stay-away order of protection was also issued. He is due back in court next week.
McBride is accused of going to his ex-girlfriend’s William Street residence just before 6 a.m. Oct. 26, entered and illegally remained inside, according to police allegations filed in court.
While inside, McBride is accused of dragging the woman out of the house by her arm “and attempted to drag her to his vehicle preventing the victim from getting away from him,” according to the allegations.
McBride is also accused of hitting her in the face. The entire incident happened in view of three children age 8 and younger, according to the allegations.
The police allegations did not include how the incident ended.
