Pavlak, Kazan, Duffy Win Seats In Wayne Board Of Education Race | #Education

WAYNE, NJ — Well, Wayne, it’s official, Passaic County has released the results of the 2020 General Election.

Donald Pavlak, Jr., Catherine Kazan and Sean Duffy have won seats on the Wayne Board of Education.

Here are the vote totals:

  • Donald Pavlak, Jr. — 17,116
  • Catherine M. Kazan — 16,457
  • Sean Duffy — 16,070
  • Abigail Giordano — 15,742

Votes needed to be certified by New Jersey counties by Nov. 20, but two counties, Ocean and Salem, were given exceptions due to the coronavirus.

“Our democracy is stronger when every voice is heard,” said Governor Phil Murphy. “The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented difficulties for the civil servants charged with the extremely important task of certifying and auditing elections. This executive order will provide these dedicated officials with the time they need to properly conclude their work for this year’s general election.”
