Level one course has a strong focus on the parent. We look at: -Learn what mindfulness is and the benefits of implementing it into our day-to-day lives -Recognize and respond, rather than react, effectively to triggers -Learn how stress affects the body and mind -Strengthens parent-child connection -Increase self-compassion -Learn short meditations that will help you feel more calm during stressful moments Level Two course has a strong focus on the child. We will look at: -Developmental stages of children/teenagers and ways to help them cope with difficulties/overwhelming emotions -Setting compassionate limits and boundaries -How to peacefully resolve conflict -Encourage self-compassion and resilience -Mindful exercises for all ages This course uses the profound research from Susan Bogels and Kathleen Restifo’s ‘Mindful Parenting’ course, and Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer’s ‘Mindful Self-Compassion Program’ to help understand parenting triggers, but to also focus on the importance of bringing self-compassion to a moment of suffering.
