Pembroke Pines Mother Arrested For Allegedly Burning Son With Hot Iron

A Pembroke Pines mother is behind bars after police say she allegedly burned her nine-year-old son with a hot iron – because he left paperwork at school.
32-year-old Tamecha Jean was arrested Monday night by local police and the Broward Sheriff’s Office. A call had come into an abuse hotline set up by Pembroke Pines Police that afternoon, which launched an investigation.
According to officers, Jean intentionally burned her son because the child had left paperwork at school that she was expecting at home.
Jean was taken to the Broward County Jail after being charged with one count of aggravated child abuse. The victim, as well as two other kids in the home, were taken into protective custody.
