Perquimans couple pleads guilty to child abuse

PERQUIMANS COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A Perquimans County couple has pleaded guilty to child abuse charges.

On Monday, Nita Jackson and John Jackson pleaded guilty to two counts of child abuse. They will serve between 31 to 47 months in the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections.

John Jackson will be electronically monitored for 34 years after he is released. Nita Jackson will be electronically monitored for 45 years after she is released.

They are the parents of the six brothers arrested for sexually abusing a family member. Four of which plead guilty back in May.

Investigators say the six men raped a female family member for nearly a decade.
