Adrian Peterson will probably be back with the Minnesota Vikings next year, according to the team’s general manager, Rick Spielman.
“We expect Adrian Peterson to be part of our football team,” Spielman told the St. Paul Pioneer Press, adding that the suspended running back is “doing everything and he’s got to follow through and rectify and do the things the NFL is requiring him to do.”
The NFL suspended Peterson last year after he was arrested for hitting his son with a switch. Peterson pleaded no contest and is eligible to apply for reinstatement in April.
Meanwhile, former Ravens running back Ray Rice — who was reinstated in November after a high-profile domestic violence case — has received virtually no interest from NFL teams this offseason.
