After a search warrant was conducted at his Queen Creek home, Michael Valles, 44, was booked on one count of sexual conduct with a minor for a sexual act that occurred in 2008, but was reported in 2011.
At the time of the 2011 report, Valles was a deputy with MCSO. No charges had ever been filed in that case.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu says Valles was working security at an HOA when the alleged incidents happened. Babeu says that’s where he formed the relationship with the young girl.
“What’s concerning for us is that who else is out there?” says Babeu. “I want to say to parents of young girls who may have come into contact with Michael Valles is to talk to them.”
Valles also received one count of luring a minor for sexual exploitation for sexual conversations conducted with another victim before her 15th birthday in 2014. He received one count of sexual conduct with a minor for acts with that victim as well.
The sheriff says more charges are expected against Valles. He’s being held in a Maricopa County jail without bond.
