ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Police say a teacher in the Geneva City School District was allegedly murdered. It’s her husband who’s now charged with murder.
State Police confirm the arrest Friday of 38 year-old John Gray of Waterloo in connection with the death of 40 year-old Ashia Chilson-Gray. She was discovered by police Friday morning during a welfare check at her home on East River Street in Waterloo. Finger Lakes Times is reporting her husband, Gray, was taken into custody after barricading himself in a Geneva apartment for several hours Friday afternoon.
The Geneva City School District alerted its community to the death of Chilson-Gray; family and consumer sciences teacher in the middle school.
