Police issue appeal to help find missing 13-year-old Alicia Vincent | #missingkids


Police have launched an appeal for information after a 13-year-old was reported missing in West Yorkshire. Alicia Vincent, 13, was last seen at around 2:25pm in Gawthorpe, West Yorkshire police said.

She is described as a 5ft 6in white female with long brown hair and wearing a black shiny jacket with fur trim hood, red top and ripped black jeans. Police say Alicia has links to the Lupset, Ossett and Dewsbury areas. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call 101 immediately.

In a pair of tweets sent just after 3:00 on Monday morning, West Yorkshire Police wrote: “MISSING – Alicia Vincent, 13 from Kinsley. She is a white female, 5ft6, long brown hair, black shiny jacket with fur trim hood, red top & ripped black jeans.

“She has links to Lupset, Ossett and Dewsbury. She was last seen around 14:25 in Gawthorpe on 7/5/22. Log 1986 7/5/22 refers. Please call 101 with any information. #missing #concern

According to the charity Missing People, somebody is reported missing every 90 seconds in the UK, equating to a total of 170,000 people. Of that number, more than 70,000 are children and almost 98,000 are adults.

The charity also states that 80 per cent of children are found within the first 24 hours of being reported missing and 90 per cent are found within two days, while two per cent are not found in the first week. For adults, the respective figures are 75 per cent, 85 per cent and five per cent
