A 2-month-old child treated at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center prompted a child abuse investigation and charges against a Monroe Township couple.
Paul Test, 31, and Rachel Poor, 31, were charged Monday by the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office with one count each of endangering children, according to a news release.
The endangering children charge is a third-degree felony, and was administered on suspicion the couple didn’t seek proper medical care when the child sustained what police phrased as “non-accidental trauma.” Poor transported her child to Cincinnati Children’s. There, the child was treated for injuries described by police in the news release as severe.
Test and Poor are being held in the Clermont County Jail on $100,000 bond each. A grand jury will hear their case Aug. 25.
