Police swoop on B&M after reports woman ‘tried to snatch child’ | #childabductors

Police scrambled a B&M store after reports of “suspicious behaviour”, it has been reported.

The incident is said to have taken place on Saturday morning outside the store in Medway Street, Gillingham, Kent.

Initial reports suggested that a child was “close to being abducted” by a woman, Mirror Online reports.

But, after being contacted by the Mirror, Kent Police denied that a girl was in danger of being taken.

The force said that officers had attended the scene following a report from a third party regarding “suspicious behaviour” which is said to have taken place inside the store.

But it added that no arrests have been made in relation to the incident, with officers now conducting enquiries into exactly what had happened.

A Kent Police statement read: “At 10.35am on Saturday September 12, Kent Police received a third party report regarding suspicious behaviour that had happened earlier at a store in Medway Street, Gillingham.

“Officers are conducting enquiries into the incident.”

In a separate case, a young girl was luckily saved after hero diners rushed to stop a man from allegedly abducting her in front of her mother.

Dramatic CCTV video has emerged appearing to show the perpetrator jumping over a rail to snatch the four-year-old at the outdoor seating area of a pizza restaurant in Florida of Johannesburg in South Africa.

The 24-year-old man is seen leaping over the barriers and running to grab the girl by the neck from her seat.

The girl’s mother and a female friend quickly get hold of the child as the man drags her to the ground.

A passing customer, who wears a black t-shirt, instantly runs to their aid and tackles the man to the floor.
