Q&A: COVID-19 symptoms and child safety | #coronavirus | #kids. | #children

Doctor Kevin Dineen, a Pulmonary and Critical Care Physician with McLeod Health Seacoast, answered coronavirus questions in a Facebook Live Q and A with ABC 15 News.

He talked about what he’s seeing at the hospital as he treats adult COVID-19 patients. The main symptoms he’s seeing are still high fever, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing.

Minor symptoms include sore throat, sinus infections and respiratory issues. He discussed managing coronavirus symptoms at home.

A lot of questions asked by our viewers were about sending kids back to school, cases of COVID-19 in children and whether the heat helps kills the virus, among others.

He also addressed the importance of wearing masks now more than ever and whether McLeod Health Seacoast is operating at capacity.
