Florida Department of Law Enforcement officers arrested a Rockledge man on Halloween after they say he had child pornography on his phone and tried to meet a minor for sex over the summer.
Breslin was charged with possession of child pornography, promoting a sexual performance by a child and using a computer to lure a child.
Police said that Breslin was also a suspect in a 2012 case when he was accused of chatting with a 13-year-old from Georgia. Charges were not filed at the time.
Police reports state that Breslin texted and exchanged photos of himself with a minor victim, eventually arranging to meet the victim in Winter Springs.
Police later confiscated Breslin’s phone and searched its contents after securing a warrant, according to FDLE records. Chats between Breslin and his minor victim as well as child pornography were found on the device, agents said.
Subsequent searches of Breslin’s computer activity revealed a spreadsheet showing 20,000 files being uploaded, “of which several hundred showed titles that were indicative of child pornography,” the affidavit states.
Breslin was arrested on Oct. 31 and is currently being held in the Brevard County Detention Center on $170,000 bond.
