BOERNE, Texas — A San Antonio teacher is accused of assault after a weekend altercation at a Texas bar, authorities said.

Christy Slavinsky, 48, was arrested Saturday night and was charged with two misdemeanor assault charges, according to Kendall County arrest records.

Slavinsky is a teacher at Ronald Reagan High School, officials with North East Independent School District confirmed to KSAT. Slavinsky has been placed on administrative leave while the district’s human resources department investigates, the television station reported.

Slavinsky, who has taught for four years, currently teaches health classes, according to the high school’s website.

According to an incident report, deputies were called to the Drink Texas bar in Boerne just after 9 p.m. Witnesses told deputies that a woman, later identified as Slavinsky, had assaulted several people before leaving, KSAT reported. According to the report, Slavinsky left in a silver pickup but then returned and allegedly assaulted another person at the bar before leaving, the television station reported.

After leaving the bar again, a Boerne police officer pulled over a truck with a man and Slavinsky, KSAT reported. Based on surveillance video and witness reports, Slavinsky was taken into custody, the television station reported.

Slavinsky posted $2,500 bail on Sunday, according to jail records.
