Dennis John Stachowski, 33, was arrested Tuesday at his Sauk Rapids workplace. A court complaint accuses him of posting an ad to Craigslist that he was seeking sex with boys.

An officer, who is a member of the Minnesota Internet Crime Against Children Task Force, responded to the ad and had an online conversation with Stachowski. Stachowski asked for pictures of the boy and his friend and also asked for proof that he wasn’t part of a sting by police.

After he sent the image of himself, he was arrested and questioned, according to the court complaint.

He admitted he knew why he had been arrested for talking about sexual things with a minor. He also admitted sending pictures to “the kid.”

The court complaint also indicates that Stachowski, when speaking to the undercover officer who was posing as a child, described a sexual relationship he had with a 15-year-old boy when he was 28.
