The Easton Opioid Awareness Taskforce invites the community to attend a school safety forum on Saturday.
Among the speakers is retired FBI agent Bill Tonkin, who will discuss warning signs to identify potential school shooters. Palmer Township resident Linda Johnson will discuss addiction. She founded Voices for Change due to her son’s struggle with addiction.
Additional topics include safe use of technology, childhood trauma, vaping and its consequences, battling bullying, substance use disorder and current street drug trends. Free child care is available to forum attendees.
The forum runs from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 19, at Paxinosa Elementary School, 1221 Northampton St., Easton.
