Three teenage girls and two men were arrested in the 100 block of North Dixie Highway after they were found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. One of the teens was also charged with possession of Xanax. The juveniles were released to their parents. The two men were released at the scene.
A 16-year-old was arrested after he stole a $30 shirt from a store in the 5900 block of West Glades Road. He was also charged with violating probation. He was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
A man was arrested on charges of stealing a $29.99 pair of sneakers at a store in the 1400 block of West Palmetto Park Road.
A woman walked away from a store in the 6000 block of West Glades Road with a pair of $460 Chanel sunglasses.
A woman in the 100 block of Southeast Fifth Avenue reported the disappearance of $5,450 worth of jewelry. There was no sign of a break-in.
A 58-year-old man was taken into custody after he admitted to vandalizing a pickup in the 600 block of North Ocean Boulevard. The damage to the truck was estimated at $3,000.
Signs were damaged at a park in the 1100 block of Southwest 20th Street. It appeared that a vehicle had been driving around on the grounds, leaving tire marks.
A woman in the 700 block of Coquina Way awoke at 1:50 a.m. when she heard her garage door opening. She went outside to find her unlocked vehicle had been burglarized and her garage door opener was missing.
A computer was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 7300 block of Northeast Eighth Court.
A gun was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Southwest 21st Street.
A 55-year-old man pushed a 65-year-old man during an argument in the 5800 block of Town Bay Drive. The victim did not want to pursue charges.
BOYNTON BEACH POLICE
A $200, 15-speed bicycle was stolen from the 2000 block of South Federal Highway.
Several flashlights, a hunting knife and a Mont Blanc pen were among items stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the first block of Heather Cove Drive.
A laptop computer and cellphone accessories were taken from a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Southeast Fourth Street.
Title papers were missing from the glove box of an unlocked vehicle parked in the 200 block of Northwest Ninth Avenue.
A juvenile grabbed a laptop computer from a man sitting outside a facility in the 200 block of South Seacrest Boulevard. Police searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating the youngster who fled on foot.
An older man attempted to take a clerk’s cellphone at a store in the 1000 block of North Seacrest Boulevard. He was unsuccessful and fled.
MISUSE OF 911
A woman was arrested after she called 911 to request a supervisor while police were at the scene in the 100 block of Northwest 13th Avenue. She was given a notice to appear in court.
Police heard at least five shots coming from the area of Northwest 14th Avenue, but no crime scene was found.
DELRAY BEACH POLICE
A woman in the 1500 block of Northwest 20th Avenue told police she received a call from a man claiming to be a police officer. He asked her to send him $1,200 so she would not get arrested.
A man who was unhappy with a medical institution in the 3100 block of South Federal Highway threatened to harm the staff.
A paddle board was stolen from the roof of a vehicle in the 800 block of Bluebird Drive.
A woman’s purse was stolen from a locker at a facility in the 1600 block of South Federal Highway.
A robber stole a 67-year-old woman’s purse in the 15900 block of Southwest Eighth Avenue, dragging her across the pavement in the process.
An iPhone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the first block of Linton Boulevard.
A purse was stolen from a truck parked in the 1200 block of West Atlantic Avenue by a thief who smashed a rear window.
A woman’s handicap parking permit was stolen from the glove compartment of her unlocked vehicle.
A man who was observed smoking pot in the first block of Northeast First Street became violent when police approached him. He was arrested.
