                The mother of a high school student was arrested this week after a fight in the school cafeteria, according to police.Bill Davis, with the Asheville Police Department, said school resource officers responded Wednesday to a fight between students in the Asheville High School cafeteria.Davis said a parent of one of the students involved in the fight was arrested after she sprayed mace on another student as she picked up her child at the school following the fight.Tiffany Pickens was charged with assault on a child, Davis said.Pickens was arrested and taken to the Buncombe County Detention Center where she was released on a written promise, according to Davis.EMS responded to check on the welfare of the student, but no injures were reported, Davis said.
