The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office has charged Ashley Beasley, 32, of Stella, with 2 counts of indecent liberties with a child and 2 counts of felony indecent liberties with a student by a teacher.
On December 4th, deputies say a tip was sent to Hunters Creek Middle School’s online “HCMS-Say Something” site about possible inappropriate communication between a staff member and student.
Officials say the investigation found that Beasley sent inappropriate photos and videos of herself to two 14-year-old boys who are her students.
Beasley was arrested Friday and placed in the Onslow County Detention Center under an $80,000 secured bond.
Her first court appearance is set for December 9th.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation continues.
A sheriff’s office tells WITN that it is investigating accusations of inappropriate behavior involving a teacher and student at a local middle school.
Colonel Chris Thomas with the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office says that they are investigating inappropriate communication between a teacher and a student at Hunter’s Creek Middle School.
The sheriff’s office would not elaborate further, but WITN has spoken with the mother of a student who claims that a teacher at the school sent her son inappropriate pictures.
That woman says she and her son have talked with investigators with the sheriff’s office.
Onslow County Schools says that an investigation is ongoing.
Officials say that they learned of the alleged inappropriate communication when it was reported through an online school-level reporting system used by students to report issues when they are uncomfortable doing so in person.
