The City of Mexia says around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 24, the Mexia Police Department, with the help of the Texas Rangers, Limestone County Sheriff’s Office and Groesbeck Police Department, executed an arrest warrant for Conrad Flusche at a home in Limestone County.
Flusche was taken into custody without further incident and is charged with improper relationship between an educator and student.
According letter from Mexia ISD, the Mexia Police Department informed district administration of a possible incident involving a current Mexia High School student and a former district employee.
Flusche was placed on paid administrative leave while the school investigated.
Mart ISD sent out a letter to parents stating they were investigating complaints made against a teacher. The letter said, “The school district is cooperating fully with local law enforcement as these allegations are investigated.”
The letter did not say what the complaints were but it mentioned “as this is a personnel matter and the complaints are currently under investigation, the district is not able to provide further information at this time. Please be assured that our focus will always remain on the academic and social well-being of your children.”
While the school district investigates, Mart ISD classrooms have been staffed with a substitute until more permanent arrangements can be made.
