The Limestone County Board of Education has fired the remaining East Limestone High School employee arrested in mid-March.
Limestone County Sheriff’s Office
Devin Rumal Robinson, 23, was charged with a school employee engaging in a sex act with a student on March 17. He was a special education instructional assistant and assistant coach at the high school.
Investigators say engaged sex acts with a 16-year-old female student on one occasion in February, according to court records.
Robinson was placed on administrative leave after the investigation started. The school board voted to terminate him during a Tuesday night meeting. The termination is effective Wednesday.
Robinson was arrested day after another East Limestone High School employee was arrested on the same charge. Trey Alton Stinson, 24, was an assistant coach and teacher’s aide. He resigned after his arrest.
Investigators say it was Stinson’s arrest that led to the discovery of Robinson’s alleged illegal relationship. They said they discovered text messages that indicated Robinson had sex with a student too. The student admitted the relationship during questioning.
Robinson denied the allegations during questioning, according to court records.
