Teens with Positive Friends Have Better Mental Health

A new study has found that teens tend to have better emotional health if they have friends who have a positive, healthy outlook on life. Researchers found that having friends like this made a given teen half as likely to develop depression over a 6- to 12-month period. For teens that already suffer from depression, having upbeat friends greatly improves their chances of recovering from depression.
