#teensexting | #sexting | Phoebe without wedding ring in Instagram post

Phoebe Burgess is yet to comment on reports of her split from NRL star Sam but one of her Instagram posts has offered perhaps the biggest confirmation yet. The Sunday Telegraph was the first to report that Phoebe and Sam had split for the second time after reuniting earlier this year following a brief break-up.

Since the news broke, Phoebe, a journalist turned influencer, has continued to post on Instagram but hasn’t addressed her split from Sam.

However in a photo shared on Wednesday, Phoebe was without her wedding ring posing for a picture alongside her two young children, three-year-old daughter Poppy and baby Billy, who turns one in December.

In a storage cupboard alongside her two kids, Phoebe joked in the caption that “even when I hide” for a “minute of peace” Poppy and Billy “find me”.

According to The Sunday Telegraph the couple had been living apart in the weeks leading up to their split, with Phoebe pictured still wearing her wedding ring earlier this month.

Speculation that things weren’t going well first began when Sam was snapped moving his belongings out of their eastern suburbs home in January.

In September last year the pair had been rocked by a sexting scandal, after a woman claimed she was exposed to lewd images of Rabbitohs players sent from Sam’s social media account.

The 30-year-old league player was embroiled in the controversy, though Sam was later officially cleared of any wrongdoing by the Souths.

In emails to the club, the 23-year-old woman claimed she felt violated in her online interaction with the players, who she said exposed themselves to her in a video chat.

After the couple reunited, Phoebe returned to the spotlight in April, telling news.com.au her kids had been the source of her “strength” during her difficult times.

“It’s about keeping on going for the greater cause, which is your family,” she said at the time.

“I’ve drawn strength from my children and the people that I love, particularly looking into my children’s faces. They’re the best thing ever and it’s the most meaningful job I’ll ever have.”

But despite being seen supporting her husband at his matches and watching from the sidelines during training, she barely posted about their second stab at their romance.
