The Arc of East Ascension is now hiring for a Program Coordinator to provide supervision, program monitoring, program development, and management of day-to-day operations related to services of adults with developmental and intellectual delays.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services (Rehabilitation Counseling/Disability Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Social Science, Social Services, Healthcare, Allied Health) OR bachelor’s degree in another field not listed above plus 1 year of work with Developmental Disability population
- Ability to obtain a chauffeur’s license and have a valid driver’s license
- A clean criminal background check
- Professional writing and communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50lbs., climb stairs, and drive various vehicles
- Ability to use virtual platforms for meetings and activities
- Potential to develop creative ideas that will influence skill development and inclusion for clients
- Familiarity with Medicaid Waiver programs for children, elderly, people with developmental, intellectual delays, and special needs.
Duties will include:
- Supervising 10-12 staff who provide direct services to people with developmental and intellectual delays
- Monitoring services provided (including transportation) and ensuring staff is following state and federal regulations
- Monitoring progression and regression in skill development
- Ensuring all services are reviewed quarterly and renewed annually
- Completing required documentation via computer programs
- Understanding and applying rules, policies, procedures
- Providing direct care service in accordance to the absence policies of assigned staff
- Assisting with respite and in-home services as assigned or needed
- Administering medication (as necessary)

- Utilize Microsoft programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Communicate effectively and efficiently
- Manage time and schedules of others
- Stay updated to changes with policy and procedures
- Work well with others
COMPENSATION: This is a salary-based position, which includes Healthcare benefits, PTO, agency cell phone, access to agency transportation (as available). Pay is biweekly. Pay starts at $35,568 per year.
