Three Hawkins County women arrested on drug charges

ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) — Three Hawkins County women are facing drug charges after a tip led to a police investigation and a surveillance operation.

During the week of February 16, narcotics officers with the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office received information that Jennifer Lawson, 35, was illegally trafficking pharmaceutical medication.

Officers say they watched Lawson transport controlled substances to a location in Rogersville. During the surveillance they say Lawson met Sheila Dunsmore, 51.

Officers approached the women and confiscated Oxycodone and Alprazolam from the pair and arrested them.

During further investigation authorities say they learned the women bought the drugs from Denise Taylor, 48.

An arrest warrant was issued for Taylor. As officer searched her home, they found about $2000 worth of Oxycodone and Alprazolam.

All three are charged with drug trafficking and possession.
