They added they ‘appreciate’ the content is ‘upsetting’, however want people to refrain from sharing the video ‘particularly for the sake of the victim’.

A spokesperson from Skelmersdale Police said: “Following our post last night (Wednesday) about a distressing video showing a teenage boy being assaulted and held over a wall, we are able to give you an update.

“We have arrested another three boys, each aged 15 and they are currently in custody, along with the 20-year-old man who we also arrested last night.

“Although we know that the video has caused concern in the local community and we appreciate that the content is upsetting, we are again asking that people refrain from sharing it, particularly for the sake of the victim involved.

“Again, if you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 quoting incident number 228 of November 24.”
