Toronto police have arrested a 45-year-old teacher and charged him with five counts of sexual assault-related charges.

Between January and June, “a man befriended a 17-year-old girl” and “they communicated in-person and on telecommunications devices,” police wrote in a statement released Tuesday morning.

Police said the man sexually assaulted the girl and they are concerned there may be more victims.

On Friday, Colin Ramsay, of Toronto, was charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual exploitation and one count of luring a child.

Ramsay has taught at George Vanier Secondary School since 2007, according to police.
