A Bradford County man has been taken into custody after police said he possessed child pornography.
Peter Lloyd Zang, 48, of Turkey Lane in Towanda, was charged Tuesday with one count of possession of child pornography, one county of criminal use of a communication facility and one count of dissemination of child pornography.
Zang was charged after state police executed a search warrant that stemmed from a peer-to-peer download initiated by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Southwest Computer Crime Unit.
A search of Zang’s residence turned up several electronic devices, one of which had evidence of child pornography and the peer-to-peer software used to disseminate child pornography, state police said.
Zang was committed to the Bradford County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail. State police were assisted by the FBI.
