The series, organized by UB’s Genome, Environment and Microbiome Community of Excellence (GEM), will call on university faculty, staff and students to answer kids’ most pressing questions about the pandemic, including: Can you catch Covid from a pet?
The sessions times and topics start are as follows: 2 p.m. Monday, Health Research and You; 1 p.m. Tuesday, Wondering About Viruses and Microbiology – How do I stay safe from something I can’t see?; 2 p.m. Tuesday, Wondering About Viruses and Microbiology – What is RNA and how does it make me sick?; 1 p.m. Wednesday, Making Sense of Information – Can I catch Covid from my pet?; and 3 p.m. Thursday, Understanding the Spread of Covid Infections Using Computers and Big Data.
