Update, 11:40 a.m.: The portion of College Street near 9th Street remains closed.

Update, 10:20 a.m.: The homicide victim is Dashawn Kelly, 31, of Clarksville. The two other shooting victims are in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

“There were multiple people shooting weapons at the time of the incident,” according to Sgt. Charles Gill.

Update, 9:30 a.m.: One of the people shot on College Street has died, according to police.

Update, 9:20 a.m.: College Street remains closed to traffic while the scene is processed and cleared. It is closed between 9th Street and Red River Street and will remain closed for several hours.


CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Three people were injured in a shootings early Sunday morning on College Street.

At about 3 a.m., gunfire broke out in the 900 block of College Street, according to Detective Michael Patterson.

They were transported to a hospital and their conditions were unknown Sunday morning.

“This appears to be an isolated incident and the public is in no danger,” Patterson said.

College Street was closed to traffic while the scene was processed and cleared.

This was the second of two shooting incidents in Clarksville early Sunday morning.
