Three people were hospitalized after a Utah man (who was later arrested) led Evanston police on a short chase over the weekend.

According to a Facebook post from Uinta County Fire and Ambulance, a man driving the wrong way on Interstate 80 just east of Evanston caused a head-on collision. Three people were transported to Evanston Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Four others were treated and released at the scene. The Wyoming Highway Patrol made an arrest and is investigating the crash.

According to the Star Valley Independent, 24-year-old Zachary Talbot was arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase. The Chevy Impala Tabot was driving was listed as stolen out of Utah.

WHP Lt. Matt Arnell said Talbot was clocked going 91 mph as he came up behind a trooper, who slowed down to let the vehicle pass around milepost 17. Once the trooper turned on his emergency lights, Arnell said Talbot increased his speed to about 130 mph.

Arnell also said that Talbot admitted to using heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana.
