Mark John Nichlos, 52, who resides in the 100 block of Township Line Road in West Whiteland Township, has been charged with 49 felony counts, including the possession and dissemination of child pornography, police said. Nichlos was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge John R. Bailey in District Court 15-4-03 with unsecured bail set at $150,000.

The incident was investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Central Computer Crime Task Force. On Dec. 25, 2014, members of the State Police Computer Crime Unit determined that someone was sharing images of child pornography over the Internet from Nichlos’ residence, police said.

State troopers executed a search warrant at Nichlos’ home on March 25 and seized three computers and two external hard drives; the seized items were subsequently examined, resulting in the discovery of images and videos depicting child pornography, police said.

A preliminary hearing for this case is set for July 13 at District Court 15-4-03.
