MT. MORRIS, MI – Westwood Heights School District is seeking applications for an open seat on the Board of Education.
Brenda Battle-Jordan, the longest-serving member of the Board of Education, is leaving the district.
Her seat will become available on Jan. 1, 2023.
The Westwood Heights Board of Education will select a candidate to fill the vacated seat that is a registered voter in the school district, at least 18 years of age, a United States citizen and a resident of the State of Michigan for at least 30 days.
Applicants must submit a letter of application and a resume to the superintendent’s office by 4 p.m. Dec. 9 to be considered.

Interviews will take place in person at the Hamady High School library on Dec. 12.
The appointed board member will serve until a new member can be elected in 2024.
